Chapter One - Encounters

I arrived in Bridgeport, and the first thing I wanted to do was go apartment hunting. I managed to find a nice studio apartment that was just the right size. The realtor was trying to sell the apartment furnished, but the furniture seemed out of place. I had a feeling that he was just trying to pawn off some old furniture from an estate sale. After a little haggling, I was able to talk the realtor down to almost half the asking price by taking the apartment unfurnished.
I think I made out pretty well and with all the money I saved, I was able to repaint and decorate it the way I wanted it.

Now that all the furniture arrived safe and sound, it was time to find a job. I checked out the morning newspaper to see what was available and found an ad for a music fan position. I would have to setup for concerts. That didn’t sound to difficult and maybe this would be my foot in the door to a new stunning career. 'Oh I got to have this!'
I went for the interview and I must of impressed them as I was offered me the job! And the great thing is that it’s only a few blocks away from home.

I ran back to my apartment building and met one of my neighbors. She started jamming out some tunes on the guitar, and soon my feet were tapping along with the rhythm. Soon however my mind started to drift away from the music and I was struck with her beauty.

We didn’t get the chance to socialize as she had to head out, but I did catch her name, Diana Jones.

After seeing Diana play so well, I was inspired to go get some guitar lessons of my own. I was definitely going to need them to help me in my job performance that’s for sure, but I also figured that it sure wouldn't hurt with the ladies either.
The guitar lessons went well, but I needed a lot of work. While standing outside the theater, a sudden urge came over me. I felt an energetic presence, a pulse if you wish, calling me.

Intuitively, I peered over my shoulder and the presence I felt was staring right at me. First thing I noticed without even realizing it was those eyes and I couldn’t take my gaze off of them.

"Hi I'm Jessica" she held out her hand and I accepted.
"I'm, Kevin" I slowly replied.
Her gaze was unwavering. She smiled warmly, held the gaze for a moment longer, and without another word, she turned around and left.

I stood there without moving for a short time longer, just watching her as if I was hypnotized. Once she was out of sight, I came out of my stumper and thought, ‘What, who was that?’

Some time later, I decided that I better get something to eat and I didn’t feel like going home and cooking. So I decided that this would be a good time to find out what the food was like here in Bridgeport. I really wanted to try out some of the nicer restaurants, but I did have to be conservative on my spending until my income starting flowing. I decided to try Hogan's Deep Fried Diner.

I ordered a burger and fries, along with a milkshake and that hit the spot. Full and satisfied, I decided to head to the back of the restaurant and check out the view.

While enjoying what I was seeing, in more ways then one, I met another stunning beauty. She introduced herself as Jun Yu and gave a warm smile. I introduced myself expecting her to walk away just like the others, but she was different, she actually starts talking.

She was amazing and fun to be around. She wasn’t trying to impress me and I found myself letting my guard down. We just chatted for a while and enjoyed the evening together. Heck she even made a funny face at me and I couldn’t help but respond in kind.

Afterward we said our goodbyes and while walking home I thought ‘What a perfect ending to a perfect day’.
